WORKSHOP ON
"CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME FOR TEACHERS"
From 24th June to 28th June 2013
Capacity building workshop for teachers was
held from 24th June to 28th June 2013 in the
Lotus Hall. The teachers from BPS, BSV, BIS
and teachers of Sahodaya Schools
participated. The resource people were from
NCERT and RIE Ajmer. This is the first time
in the history of NCERT that a workshop for
public schools was held. It was an
altogether different experience for
teachers. Director BET Maj. Gen. Retd.
S.Nair praised the effort of BPS for
organizing such an interactive workshop for
the teachers. He himself gave a wonderful
presentation on Art, craft, science and
skills of teaching and inclusive education.
Principal Capt(IN) Alokesh Sen also gave
presentation on quality improvement in
Curriculum.
WORKSHOP ON ROCKET
Workshop on Rocket was inaugurated by the
Director BET, Col V.N.Ratnakar on 3 April
2012. Students got a golden chance to study
about rocket and learn its function through
the workshop and the making of the prototype
of rockets that was held in our school from
3rd April to 6th April 2012 .The event was
conducted by the Department of Science and
Technology, Rajasthan. The resource persons
for the workshop were Mr.Rajendra Rana along
with Mr.M.P.Deomwari, a retired scientist
from Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and Mr.
Anil Prajapati, a senior faculty member of
Mathematics. The theory portion lasted for
two days and finally the students from all
schools were asked to prepare the rockets as
guided by the scientists. Students showed
utmost interest in this workshop and finally
on 6th April the time came where they
displayed& test fired the small rockets made
by them. It was really a wonderful
experience for all the students. This
workshop had not only motivated the students
but also helped them to develop their
interest to study this branch of science in
future which is now a need of the hour
Workshop on Mathematics
Workshop on Mathematics for Sahodaya Schools
in Sekhawati region was organized in BPS on
17 and 18 Aug 2012.Dr.V.N.Dhaulakhandi
Director Museum was the Chief Guest on this
occasion. Dr.G.S.Bhalla the USA6 based
renowned mathematician was the Resource
Person. The Principal introduced
Dr.G.S.Bhalla to the participants. The topic
of the workshop was “HISTORY OF
MATHEMATICS”. Around 35 teachers from BET
and Sahodaya member schools participated in
the workshop. All the teachers shared a
wonderful experience in interacting with the
resource person.
Physics Workshop
Anveshika Physics workshop was held in BPS
on 8th September 2012 for Physics
Teachers on the principles of ‘learning by
doing’. It was organized by Birla Education
Trust , Pilani. In all 30 teachers of
Physics from different schools of Rajasthan
attended the workshop. 20 students showed
their exhibits on the basic principles of
Electricity and Magnetism. Dr.R.K.Awasti ,
Agra and Mr. Manoranjan Kumar Utashi,
Physics teachers from Pilani were the
Resource Persons for this workshop. Director
BET Col.V.N.Ratnakar inaugurated the
workshop by lightening the lamp along with
Prof Awasti and Principal Capt. (IN) Alokesh
Sen. Dr. R.K.Awasti delivered a lecture on
the importance of the learning Physics. The
Principal, Birla Public School was highly
impressed with the concept of this
workshop11 conducted by Dr.Awasti. He
assured that this kind of workshop would be
organized again in future.
